The Signature & Bee Collection

Heath and Landon’s Scotch-Irish ancestry is reflected in the company’s logo from which their makers’ mark is taken. The symmetry of the mark’s design is balanced and weighted to celebrate each sister equally. In the tradition of great silversmiths Slane & Slane has artistically incorporated their makers’ mark into each of their jewelry designs in such a way that it either becomes an intentional detail or is simply introduced as a textured element. With their notable eye for scale and proportion, the sisters use either their stylized shield or the registered trademark name as an element of design, sometimes very apparent and other times worked subtly into the jewelry. In the Signature Collection, the shield or mark is enlarged to become the focal point of the design. Interestingly though, it is not immediately apparent that the design is the company’s logo. Many who view the collection see a heart, others a pattern which evokes a cross, some have even said it evokes a Celtic design. Few have seen the logo which pleases Heath and Landon as it really wasn’t their intention to create a logo collection.
