No one feather in particular inspired Heath and Landon, but rather their collective beauty and symbolism among Native American tribes was the impetus for the collection. American Indians recognize the feather as a symbol of trust, honor and freedom. Bald Eagle feathers are the most coveted among American Indians because the eagle flies higher than any other North American bird and thus, closer to heaven. If given an Eagle feather, Native Americans believe it to be a gift from above and thus hand it down with care from generation to generation.
